I've shot a few caribou in the middle of the afternoon as well but most are in the morning just after the bugs really get going.

Wont do that again either I f the situation arose with another calf i would raise it for a few months and the just send it out on its own The few people i trust. Hunted with john below and if you do see any caribou 25 other hunters see them as well
The one herd we saw had at least 10 trucks hunting them and they still crossed the road away from everybody!
